About Me

Hello! My name is Dakota Walker. I was born and raised in Missouri, and am currently a full-time student at Northwest Missouri State University. I am the last of three children (the baby of the family.)

Throughout my childhood, I was a troublemaker. In elementary school I'd spend at least a portion of most of my days in the principle's office. Even so, my imagination kept me on my toes at every turn. Moving into Middle School, I still had behavioral issues, but at a lesser rate. Also, it was in fifth grade that I began to write. It was just little stuff at first, but as I absorbed more and more information and techniques on how to approach the craft, my passion for it ignited. Sixth grade, my scribbles turned into art. And then, in seventh grade, I opened my mouth. And I sang, and discovered the joys of making music.

I've been writing off and on ever since, but due to an occupational tug-of-war between my interests, haven't really been serious about it; until now.

I'm studying Perfomance in Vocal Music currently, but I'm juggling it and the possibility of a graphic design, or even English major.
Last march I found a job as a D.J. at my local radio station, and am absolutely loving it!

Either way, it's been a wild ride, and I'm sure the craziest stuff is yet to come!
